  16  Blosxom (pronounced "Blossom") is a lightweight yet feature-packed
  17  weblog application designed from the ground up with simplicity,
  18  usability, and interoperability in mind.

  20  Fundamental is its reliance upon the file system, folders and files as
  21  its content database. Blosxom's weblog entries are plain text files
  22  like any other. Write from the comfort of your favorite text editor
  23  and hit the Save button. Create, edit, rename, and delete entries on
  24  the command-line, via FTP, WebDAV, or anything else you might use to
  25  manipulate your files. There's no import or export; entries are
  26  nothing more complex than title on the first line, body being
  27  everything thereafter.

  29  Despite its tiny footprint, Blosxom doesn't skimp on features,
  30  sporting the majority of features one would find in any other Weblog
  31  application.  Additionally, Blosxom 2 includes support for plugins, and
  32  thus much more extensive customization.

  34  Blosxom is simple, straightforward, minimalist Perl affording even the
  35  dabbler an opportunity for experimentation and customization. And
  36  last, but not least, Blosxom is open source and free for the taking
